Students Learning

Day 1 of our Robotics Camp went great! Students started the day by assembling their m-bot mini robots, with the help of a Mechanically Challenged mentor. Then using Scratch, they learned to give the robot basic commands.

Their first "Simple" task was to code m-bot drive around their table. While this sounds simple, students had to take into account a lot of different factors like motor speeds, momentum, etc. What they thought would be an easy task, took them the rest of the day! They learned an important coding skill called "iteration" as they began to step-by-step change their code in minor ways to fine-tune the driving!

We can't wait to teach them to use the proximity sensors tomorrow to navigate a maze! Remember to tune into the live stream Balloon Warfare Battle Tournament on Thursday and Friday on our YouTube Channel
