The Viola High School EAST Program and 7th Hour Astronomy class would like to invite the residents and students of Viola to this year’s Total Solar Eclipse Fun Day!
Taking place in the Viola High School parking lot, activities will be held here for the kids including bean bag toss, laser tag, face paint, etc. Activities will be set-up around noon with peak Eclipse viewing time being from about 1:30-2:15 pm.
Solar viewing glasses will be sent home with elementary students some time next week. Limited supplies of glasses are available on-site, so please bring these with you! Bring your own chairs, so that you will have a place to sit.
The robotics team will be hosting a booth selling hot dogs (Chilli and cheese!!!), chips, and bottled water for $7 a plate! We will also be breaking out the snow-cone machine for $1.
We will close-up shop about 3:00 PM.
For many citizens this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we hope you will join us for a fun and educational time. Thank you and we hope to see you there!
